’Richard III’ is a 1912 film adaptation of Shakespeare’s play, starring Frederick Warde. It is the oldest surviving American feature-length film, and is also thought to be the first feature-length Shakespearean adaptation ever made. In 2001 it was released on DVD, with a newly composed score by Ennio Morricone, recorded in Rome, 1997. Available in *the Ennio Morricone Classic Soundtrack series and strictly limited to 1.000 numbered copies on transparent vinyl.
