180gr. – 2 Albums, Ella & Louis + Ella & Louis Again
3-LP Holland
Jazz
High Quality, Box Set, Limited Edition
Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald were capable of producing magic that few jazz singers could match. Their infrequent studio collaborations yielded true masterpieces. After cutting several sides backed by big bands for Decca in the late forties and early fifties, Ella and Louis were summoned by producer Norman Granz in 1956-57 to make three albums that would become legendary jazz classics.
This 3-LP set compiles their two complete small group albums, Ella & Louis (Verve MGV4003) and Ella & Louis Again (Verve MGV4006-2 [2-LP set]).
