Influential early British progressive rock band Colosseum are well-known for their eclectic and adventurous approach to rock that fuses together strong jazz and blues influences.
‘Colosseum Live’ was recorded at Manchester University and the Big Apple in Brighton during March 1971, and it is the highest demonstration of the terrific intensity of the band on stage. Despite the fact that the album peaked at number 17 and remained in the UK Album Chart for six weeks, the band split up right after these gigs for 23 years only to reunite again in 1994. Originally released by the newly formed Bronze Records, it is considered one of the best live records of all the time! Includes the bonus track ‘ I Can’t Live Without You’ available for the first time on vinyl.
